11/16/2002 12:56:13 AM When using ARMS 39 with M4 handguards, you can file the top of the handguard with a simple flat file. It takes more time than using a dremel, but it leaves a nice flat surface. It is also harder to ruin your handguards with a file than with a dremel. I used a thick business card to measure the clearance between the ARMS 39 and the M4 handguard, but you may want to leave more. You will also have to either remove or bend the brushbreaker to make it fit right. By the way, I am using the Aimpoint extra wide, extra tall, picatinny mount. It co-witnesses the Aimpoint Comp ML2/M2 pretty well. I’ve also heard the ARMS 22m68 is a great mount. Good luck. Chuck

This just cracks me up {positively!!} I posted several of these types of threads over on the AK side and was near run off the place for doing so and suggesting there might be limits to the accuracy potential of the AK rifles, which, of course, there are. There are limits to all rifles AND shooters. These military COF’s can help establish a baseline of sorts for those who want to know what to expect from their rifles. I like them as they are fun to shoot. I set up my own “qualifications” based on what I use my rifles for; varminting, elk, deer, bear hunting, etc. Super thread, incidentally. This stuff is great for those of us who own ranges or maybe those who manage them or otherwise might want to shoot these courses of fire for practice and simple enjoyment.
