Mill off the selector stops, LT receivers don’t have any 2. 68 degree Fire engraving, LT receivers have a radiused FIRE engraving that’s already usable 3.

Probably be too big…I have a friend who is roughly that size. Height-wise, it was fine. But it wouldn’t cinch down tight enough. Here’s what he wrote when I asked his size:
I am 6-3 and 180 lbs. As for chest size…..not sure but I’m pretty thin there too. My waist is 34 or 36 and my chest is close to that.
If I had soft armor on I could have fit the vest.
So there you have it.

Well thank you TimW for the honest reply.
I am playing around with the idea of buying a plate carrier now that I know plates are not toooo expensive. I was under the assumption that plates alone were in the $1000 range.
Currently for my gear set up I have x2 TT 5.56 Triple Mag Panel, x2 5.56/.223 Single Mag Pouch, HSGI Blowout Pouch, and a HSGI Mini Modular Radio pouch. Am I going to run into problems fitting all of that onto a plate carrier?

How if applies to the mounts, is there are specific deminsions for mounting positions, diameters, etc. NATO stanag scope mount arms #21 When it comes to the mounts I’ve seen, the scopes that are stanag scope mount arms #21 compatible have two screw holes in the bottom instead of scope rings . As stated above, the scope screws to the mount. The picatinny (modified Weaver mounts) has become the standard. IIRC, Weaver mounts specifies a recoil lug on the bottom of the ring to keep it from shifting on the base. The benefit of the picatinny rail is it allows for better odds of retaining zero with QD scope rings . There are a few different options, such as turn in bases like the Leupold STD, and claw mounts. Claw mounts usually are found on european gunsand have hooks that engage a base. As far as which is better, it depends on that application. I used a Leupold STD base on a bolt gun that was better than a picatinny rail and ARMS rings for me.
